Tbnl is an initiative from the hospitality industry. The platform was developed because this Covid-19 time calls for guidelines so that you can enjoy yourself, but the health of you, your friends and the catering staff is not endangered.

The case

In the coming period we will have to handle our safety carefully. Good thing that the catering establishments can again receive guests from 1 June 2020, but this is only possible if we do this safely, in a controlled manner and responsibly. Space is limited and we want to use it as efficiently as possible. In order to ensure that all this runs smoothly, a demand for a booking platform arose from the hospitality industry. Et voila,


The solution

The starting point was to develop a platform that works for both visitors and the catering industry. The platform had to comply with two important principles. Firstly, how do you ensure that people do not wander unnecessarily through the city to get a table, but that they can reserve that table in advance from home. Secondly, how do you make it clear to the terrace owner how many people are expected, so that he can respond to this with his staffing, but also take his purchasing into account.

The result

Terrace visitors register on and can immediately search for their favorite terrace. They have insight into which terraces are available in their city or village and whether the desired table, outside or inside, is available. They choose, from the time slots defined by the catering industry, the desired time and with how many people they come. They transfer € 1 for the booking and receive a QR code as an admission ticket. This is checked by the catering industry upon arrival on the terrace. They don't have to do more. Or well, maybe order a beer?

By using, the catering industry offers the visitor facilities that prevent the search for a table and unnecessary congestion in the city. The catering industry can register for free on the platform, indicate how many tables they have available for outside and inside, at what times guests are welcome and how long they can stay. The reservations provide insight into how many guests are expected and the duration of the visit. The catering industry knows exactly how many staff to deploy for this and thus prevents overcrowding. It also provides insight to purchase appropriately.
