booq is an initiative of Eijsink. Eijsink is the rock-solid software company that develops software for optimal business processes: think POS systems, staff scheduling, bar/kitchen management, table reservations and ordering sites. The all-in-one platform booq brings all these tools together. After all, booq is not a product but the answer to your question. booq's connectivity is unique: on the premises, on the terrace and in the homes of the target audience. Together with the business owner, booq determines what is needed, and how, where and when.

The challenge

So booq is an all-in-one business (software) platform made up of multiple solutions. Until now, each of these solutions was presented separately on its own website, which made it hard for visitors to see everything booq has to offer. booq's question was therefore: how can we bring the current setup, with several separate websites for the various booq Bricks, together into one website, while serving different target audience segments?

The solution

A fun challenge for both design and development! Starting with booq's brand identity. It already existed, but in a minimalist form. So our designers began by adding to booq's existing brand identity. We enriched booq's visual style with new elements such as typography, a diverse colour palette, new user interface elements, semicircles and a modular dot pattern that reflects the adaptable flexibility of the booq platform. We also added subtle micro-animations to the website. A great foundation for the new website! On we go...

Next, together with booq, we carried out extensive research into the right sitemap and flow for different users. This research showed that 3 key information points should be central to the website:

1. Individual booq Bricks, also called solutions. This page provides detailed information about the individual modules that you as a user can connect to your booq platform.

2. Industry and type of business. The industry page takes a general approach. Visitors can then narrow things down by type of business, after which a page with specific content follows.

3. By letting visitors choose an industry and type of business right on the homepage, the rest of the journey is tailored to their wishes and needs. As a bar owner, for example, you see all the booq Bricks and options that best suit a bar or café.

Finally, we chose to limit the number of CTAs and steer towards one clear way of getting in touch: 'Aan de slag' (Get started). After clicking this CTA, a booq employee will contact you to work out the right solution for your business together.

The result

A future-proof, modular business platform! Visitors land on a neutral page, after which the site guides them through fully personalised advice tailored to the wishes and growth of their business!
